really isn't that amazing or any different to any other members contributions, im thinking of Gio or The Godfather for Example.
Threads like these jog peoples memories, there are a lot of members here that never post because of nonsense like this, but they do send email and pm, to say they have such and such in there shed garage etc.....and it goes from there.
The Joy of starting here five or more years ago, to my mind little was thought of or understood of British Bikes (with the odd exception) and it was overlooked in favour of more heavily marketed brands that were imported. This obviously cost more even today, postage/import costs, etc, it seemed to me at the time that a lot was being passed by in favour of American brands for reasons above etc.
It took 10 years to find the Stratos, and the Hardisty was pure Luck, The Zinn over page was all thanks to this site and help/heads up from members.
Posting pics, raises awareness..., posting adverts, reviews, bike tests expands what I consider to a Valuable info, encourages members, and expands the possibilities of finding a Handbuilt bike, that would have once been overlooked.
Its my take on it anyway.
