Cost.

Even after manufacturing Carbon DH guards and selling over two thousand units, and having great MBUK reviews, and even laying on competitions to win one, the Far east got the better in the end. When you can manufacture to a higher or similar standard for half the cost and half the time, forcing down the price and making them easier to buy, they writing is on the wall in the end.

Not quite the same story for the bikes, the road story is a lot more in depth and not really my place to comment, but the mountain bike was a little too late in the end, there is a lot more to the story but...again its a little close to home.
