Retro Newbie
As I mentioned in my introductory post, I had gotten back into road cycling and this year I rode in the TD 5 Boro Bike Tour in NYC. The tour was approximately 40 miles (more like 60 with the commute to and from factored in) and, as the title mentions, encompassed all of NYC's 5 boroughs.
I chose my recently built up Masi and had an incredible day. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who is planning to be in NYC in May as it offers AMAZING views of the city on roads not normally accessible to bikes - the Verrazano and Queensboro Bridges to mention two.
Info for the event and many others sponsored by BikeNY can be found at http://www.bikenewyork.org/.
Here are a couple of shots I took:
At the start - 32,000 people!
