But he's enclosed in the canopy and using the low pressure behind the vehicle to pull himself forwards.
It's kind of nonsense - you're effectively using a fluid coupling.
But it's incredibly dangerous.

Indeed. For the Bruce Burford record why go aero at all and have tribars, discs, monocoque? A missed opportunity to have some fun with it and put some panniers and a Brooks on a WR beating bikeAs an excercise to see how high a number of miles per hour one can get on a bicycle, it is interesting. Without wind resistance it doesn't have a lot to do with aero though. (Sorry, couldn't help but point that out)
