Modern aero bikes may be marginally quicker but thats way down the list of priorities for most.

More importantly they all look like they fell out of the ugly tree smashing their face on every branch on the way down, and I'm not spending my hard earned money and time building up a dogs dinner.

Agreed, I much prefer classic looks. But as a tool to win I'll take everything technical and scientific I can get, I don't care how it looks. It just needs to work.

as much as I love a nice diamond frame in a sensible material, ufff, this is wetting some whistles.

So I wanted to get out of my comfort zone... I was looking for a time trial frame to build up and this new in the box A-D TT frame came up at the right time at the right price.

First thing was a tour of the inside of the Made In China frame with a iPhone compatible borescope, nothing scarry was found, it's a good quality frame. A nice touch was the conduit running inside the frame and chainstay for the rear derailleur. The bottom bracket (BB86) was actually round and in spec, parallelity of the bottom bracket faces took a little work to get right with most of the work on the NDS.
