A Tale of two baiku’s.
Saturday.
Mountain Baiku: Somehow get motivated in the most foul of weather to leave the house on a bike. The kind of rain that you are soaked by the end of your road. Wait at station for the train to the hills. 31mins late. Consider standing for 41mins in the wet and cold and turn round and go home. Thoughts of cross biking it fade and feelings of a pub lunch emerge. Shortest ride of my life.
Sunday:
Mountain Baiku: Meet Salvage Tech on time and early. Spin fast through the woods. It’s wet out here. And soooo muddy. Tired but having fun. Finally wake up on the last road stretch home. An afternoon of cleaning, fettling, stickering and gazing at bikes unfolds. Watch Grand Prix, eat syrup waffles. Best ride day of my life.
