First post - hello all!
I bought this Max off Gumtree for £50 in late January after missing out on another grey one that was also £50 on eBay.
The stickers are torn, the paint is chipped and scratched, and it's in need of a service and a clean, but it rides like a dream all the same and I love it!
I just left it as-is for a month, before noticing that the back tyre was knackered - perished sidewalls, and worn right down. The front tyre was equally worn. The bike looks like it's had a hard life, and never had any parts changed.
When I got it:
I've just fitted new tyres, swapped the seat with my unfinished Peugeot singlespeed project, and added some Fred Salmon bar ends, and it now looks like this:
Really pleased with it - not ridden it yet as I need an inner tube and I want to possibly change the flame pattern grips, if I can find some softer, simpler ones. I've also got some purple dice dustcaps on the way
I can't wait to get out on it!
