The clamp is marked as 31.8 and is a modern Hope - a fraction tight so needed some grease and care to get on, but think the paint is quite thick. I also have an earlier frame (backward facing slot) and could measure that if helpful?

Hmm, mine has a forward facing slot and the current clamp on it is 34! I have to push it super tight to get it to hold the post properly though so not sure.

Great build by the way! Love all the component choices.

Not something I'd really thought about to be honest, and I don't mind the tensioner as it's another splash of black. I'll have to do some research.

Another part found...

Picked up a second pair of the v-brake specific xlite brake bolts on ebay for frankly far more than I should ever have spent on a pair of bolts - but they seem to be quite rare, and these were pretty much box fresh. So now collar and cuffs match!

For those interested, these have a slight step at the base of the cap so that they (just) clear the pin on an XTR vbrake. If you don't have the stepped ones then they will foul. I think they came with a black rubber washer so you could use them on cantis and other brakes.

They're chunky monkey when fitted, but more bike jewellery that I couldn't afford when I was 16
