Found this frame on Ebay in rough condition. Powder coated mustard yellow and replaced decals to match original. Not exactly a catalog rebuild, but I gotta ride this thing so Fox fork and clutch derailleur it is. I put an XT 10 speed derailleur on the thing but the secret sauce is the Saint shifter, which is exquisite. XTR brakes from the parts bin. Boom done. Currently sporting gravel tires cuz I've been doing the bike path thing with wifey on vacation; normally I'd be running Ikon rear and DHF front.
Just serviced the fork, it's working great. The "X" automatic lockout mechanism is kinda cool imo. Seller was all like, "there's something wrong with this thing, it's sticky!" That it is
Found some old Renthal motorcycle handlebars on Facebook and bought em to see if I liked em or not. I love the durn things. Could get some new ones I guess but, why screw with what works.
The Reynolds steel has some "sproing" to it which is amusing. Reasonably light, nice ride. Which is good, cuz I'm riding this bad boy
