All set up work finished. The reason the brakes were proving difficult was that the bolts were to long and tightening against the canti stud rather than the spring arrangement. Reasonably easy to set up once that was sorted.
Rear wheel is now dished correctly.
Gil has been in touch and I should have a proof for the decals by tonight.
Test ride showed front fork was rock solid with a pleasing amount of movement in the rear.
Stripped front fork and cleaned and regreased everything. Elastomers were rock hard though. Replaced all elastomers with some Pace ones I had in... Very, very similar and if I were a gambling man, I'd stake that Pace may have stripped a set of Mani's to crib on the post RC35 elastomer forks (MXC's etc...). Probably lost 5mm in travel but I can live with that.
Anyway, all back together now with plenty of bounce at the front!
Anyone got a tidy set of Marin bar ends in silver or the correct Titec seatpost?
I bought me yesterday on ebay.de a Marin Indian Fire Trail only the frame set from 1993 in the color polished alloy with bleu parts.

Here we go... decalled up and the correct colour rear legs procured. These were a bit of a pain as the stanchions were shorter in the replacements, so both sets had to be stripped and swopped over...
As ever stunning service from Gil_m on here with the decals - accept no substitute!
