1995 brodie sovereign build thread

Make him and offer where he can keep the newer front end (crappy fork etc if I remember) and make a break for it :)

What's next now chillibiker???
I'm trying to get my hands on a 1991 Rocky Mountain cirrus I found online. I have always wanted an e stay bike. I don't know how it will work out since I only have $300 (from the brodie  ) and he is asking $450 but it's been on eBay 5 times with no bites. If there is any one on the west coast of Canada with an e stay they want to part with for under $300 just let me know... You might just have a buyer

Funnily enough you could have had my Nishiki E-stay frame for free if I'd have known. I don't think I'll ever do anything with it and I recently stuck it in the classifieds free.

If you pick up that Rocky, ask the guy if he still has this 'Ritchey P23' for sale

.......and it's on it's way back to Vancouver! Thanks chillibiker. I'm looking forward to cruising around on some easy trails with my missus. I've got a higher rise Syncros stem to use as a stop gap, but I'll look at other ways to getting the bar in a more relaxed position for her.

congrats! can't compete with a local cash pick-up.

Cheers! Yes, I guess by Canadian standards a 6 hour round trip is fairly local  Although we did go for a hike in the area before picking the bike up.

 well it's more local than say 2/3 across Canada. ;) good to see it's gone to a new home and in good hands.

Well, I've replaced one massive Syncros stem.....with another one! I'm going to keep an eye out for something more subtle though. If anyone local has a nice silver stem around 90mm long and wants to trade for the 130mm Syncros stem that was on this before, feel free to PM me. I'm still thinking that I'll ultimately go with a lower ride stem and a riser bar, although people on here might shoot me on sight
