Another Purple One - Raleigh Optima?

yes it’s a 130mm stem, too long for me I reckon. I think it’s a Pinocchio.

A Nitto 100mm stem and model 177 bars were fitted today, this combo was taken off of the Gianni Motta karma’d bike. The bars are 44cm, wider than I wanted but they were just sitting there. Finished off with Cinelli cork bar tape and plugs.
I have fitted some nicer tyres on the Motta so the yellow striped Schwalbe Lugano’s needed a home and suited the Raleigh, not my first choice but they will do for now.
I do not like the seat post so that will be swapped out when I find something in budget. The nose of the saddle will be dropped a tad then.

Kalloy SP-248 seat post and gimmicky Ibos easy action aero style water bottle purchased to get this one finished. Hopefully both will be with me by the weekend.

That's a nice bike. I seem to be collecting purple bikes another one saved.
A=1990 B=1991and so on.

@Guinessisgoodforyou Sorry, I’ve just noticed your post. If I do get bored of the old girl I’ll let you know. I’ve been at home this week and have made time to do a few little bike related jobs, one of which was fitting some lovely Look PP396 pedals on the Raleigh, I bought these quite a some time ago now. I went for a little ride this afternoon, which was a pleasure. A few tweaks are required for a better riding position, other than that it was bang on and performed faultlessly

I’ve been at home this week and have made time to do a few little bike related jobs, one of which was fitting some lovely Look PP396 pedals on the Raleigh, I bought these quite a some time ago now.
