I shared the link to this thread with Jurgen on Facebook and he's happy to answer questions....

Thank you very much, Boxxer! :D

Thinking fast, if he could shed light on:

- Rims (are 117 SUP ceramic 36h correct?)
- Headset (threaded Kingsbery?)
- Saddle (I read on the Bike article he used a Flite but in the images it looks different?)
- Fork: Manitou 3 inners in Manitou 2 outers?
- Bashguard? Custom made? Number of rings? Left shifter or not?...
- Handgrips

And anything he could correct from post #1 would be great :)

Re:

This thread is getting better and better ^^^^^

and you haven't fitted a single part yet

So finally some progress!

It took a long time but, in the end, I found a pair of NOS Ritchey Megabite Zmax WCS in 2.1 in Scotland :) . I also found most of the rest of the parts and last weekend went to mainland Spain and had time to work on the bike:

I laced the wheels (Mavic 117 SUP Ceramics 36h, DT spokes, M900 hubs),
I fit the tyres,
73mm BB and M900 crankset,
Rear derailleur M900.
M2 fork (a different one; I dismounted it and the rubbers were in ok condition so I did not change them),
A-TAC stem with rise,
I fit and set the Maguras, which was not very easy and, since the brake shoes are new, the wheels had to be very true as there is not much room in there...
Ringle Ti 3DV seat QR (I have a pic where it was used)
Grip Shift SRT500 8sp
I disassembled, cleant, and reassembled the rear suspension: In a previous post I showed how the original red elastomers were "melt" so these are the next steps:

Outer legs without dust seal and bushing:

Dust seal and bushing:

Disassembled inner leg on the left and "as it came" on the right:

Inner leg with new elastomers and grease ready to be re-fit:

During chaos at my mom´s home  :P :

And almost done:

Thank you! :D I will go back to Santander at the end of may and I will finish and ride it (and, hopefully, not crack it... )

:P The bike is at my homeland in Santander (north coast of mainland Spain) and I only go there every two or three months  it is also a veeeeery rainy place but I have most of the things sent there as we have tax-charging-customs with everywhere (even the rest of Spain) at the Canary Islands

In any case, May "should" be a good time of the year for some proper riding and photographing :)
