1993 KHS Montana Pro, virtually catalogue spec :D

Had to wait for the camera battery to charge

Anyhoo, new pics with modern Charge Splashback 1.8" tyres

Tyres are not as amberwall as the Tioga Psycho's in the background

Yup, that's under 22.5lbs!

OK so there's no pedals on the bike, but the LX flatties only take it up to 23.35lb ;)

I believe the postman has something very nice in the sorting office for me to collect, I had a red card from RMail through the letterbox today :D

Looking good Andy, how much do those tyres weigh?

Shame to get it mucky tomorrow
Tyres are a claimed weight of 450g for the 1.8" ones, I weighed the pair at an average of 482.5g, so 32.5g over the claimed weight, still pretty light though.

Still not given the frame a proper strip down clean & polish, the time is nearing for that though as almost all the parts are here awaiting collection ;)

More parts have turned up today, it's like Christmas all over again

3 parcels to open

I've fitted the parts to see what they look like on the bike, the rear mech will be cleaned up & I managed to get outside in the daylight to snap a few quick shots

I guess that answers the PM I sent about the mech

Keep the cantis by the way - they're actually lighter than the M734 ones! Interestingly enough the Roberts Dogs bolx SE was fitted with exactly the same if I remember right (there's an article on this site somewhere) so the bike will be in good company 8)

Still interested in your mech ;) Think I replied to your PM!

I quite like the canti's when polished up they look pretty good for Alivio

Yeah, just read your PM, it looks like I'm playing catchup here

I'll stick the mech on hold anyways once it's on sale until you've had a look at it

hehe, I'm surprised at how quick this has come together, 3 weeks to get to it's current build state, even I'm finding it hard to keep up

Just measured the chainline & it appears to be ~45mm (cranks not fully tight on BB) so I think I may need a new BB that's longer, Sheldon reckons it's a 122.5mm BB for a M730, no idea what's in at the mo but Sheldon reckons it should be 110.5-113mm as it was an Alivio MC10 RH crank

Anyone used a 122.5mmBB with M730 crank arms? Does it work as it should & give the right chainline?

Coming on really well andy,, pleased the cranks arrived :) , if its any help I run a 125mm square taper on my Look with XT cranks :)

Looking forward to seeing this finished.. :)
