You are right then.. but the SS could be made custom unlike the Mojo. They were built w/ a mishmash of high end tubing from top different brands. You could chose options. The Mojo came along as a suspension corrected frame and you don´t see many variables and options. Paint is usually one color while the SS usually has fades of 2 maybe 3 colors. I always see the SS as a higher end Ibis.

That makes sense. From what I can tell, both the mojo and ss were available as “xtra mojo” and “xs” semi-custom models. Given the paint third bottle mount, this one should be an xs. But I also don’t want to take the catalog as gospel as I think Ibis sort of did what they wanted, when they wanted when it came to changing spec, options, etc.

The point is, the stem is really expensive.

Making some progress here, a year later. Going to revert back to the original silver seatpost, I think, and then it’s rear brakes, grips, cables and pedals. May need to replace the Suntour grease guard bb as its long spindle is causing some chain line issues with the XT cranks. But waiting to see how it rides before I do that.

That is the coolest paintjob I've seen in a while! I can't help but think a black saddle and grips might flow better though.

Thanks! You might be right. I'll try a black saddle on it. Also, though, I think once the brown grips and saddle wear in a bit they'll look a little less obvious.
