I was thinking that! M732/5, thumb shifters and black chainrings/silver arms would be ace.. That said I would also be tempted to go all Eurobuild and stick a load of Sachs on it as well.

small update

managed to get some deore xt/matrix wheels back of a mate whom never paid for them as he didnt need them anymore. unfortunetly the matrix rims were different, same xt hubs but with one aero rim. Found some more via granniegrinder of ebay for a good deal and ive just built them up. not perfect and i buggered lining the valve hole up right but im not too fussed.......for now haha

next plan is to retrofit all the shiney xt stuff i have and get the cables cut to length, or find some already done. should have it rolling tomorrow..............

very happy with hows it come out. only ridden down the garden but feels nice and tight. gonna change the grips to foam ones as the ones fitted are a tad harsh

very nice, love the colour and the build, wouldnt change a thing, apart from maybe the saddle, never did really get on with them.
