Is that all DIY painting at home? Looks great! I can't paint for toffee

Just looked and didn't realise these had a double butted frame... Probably rides every bit as good the higher spec models people get excited about.

This is actually a 1990 frame as the numbers are A50IEO150 so really should have been the light grey zolatone colour frame at new.Was told by another member that it was left over stock frames and was painted in the 91 colour scheme and sold as the 91 models

Manufacturer "model year" starts in about September/October of the previous year so quite a lot of year X bikes were actually made in X - 1

But some like Saracen did regularly made up specials of unused frames to confuse us. Shimano groupsets were also model year based so we should all be thinking in terms of model years (or school years ) not calendar years.

US car makers are the worst... They're already selling cars as 2014 models!?!
