i had one of those. was a 1990. my 1st ever 'proper' mountain bike, after the raleigh mustang days.

good job on the resto. i would love to get my hands on another one.

I like the "weathered" tyres I bet this was built for less than some people spend on NOS tyres! DX upgrade means that isn't far off a Pine Mountain spec.

Only comment would be rotate the bars so they curve towards your shoulders... Well that's how I like 'em anyway.

total in paint came to £18.00(mrs gets it cheap from work)new seat post £9.99 (ebay)(ritchey bar grips £7.99 decals from gil_m.Everything else i already had so total cost witch includes the cost of the bike was in the region of £90 give or take a few quid.

Great work on the Palisades. I have a Muirwoods to do, it will end up very similar to yours hopefully!

Interested to see you put the "Race Bred" stickers on the stays, and the "Marin" stickers down the forks... I thought the 1990 models didn't have either. (At least they didn't on the Pine Mountain). :?:
