Very nice touch chris! Still got the girvin barends too.

Kinda smooth and punchy these bikes, direct response and stuff, but the front can be harsh with those straight forks. good move. :wink:

iirc the BB is un71. just about the best for longevity and smoothness.

I've not had this out over winter but now the nice weather is with us its had a dust off and a good hammering.
Couple of minor changes from Marc's original build inc the nos flexstem.

That's a great looking Alpine you've got their chris and the Girvin fits in with the overall theme very nicely indeed ;) although tbh i never fancied the idea of having one bitd but now i'd love to give one a try and glad to see the bike being used as it should be 8) ..

Thanks guys, I don't find Flexstems to be that bad actually. They certainly take the sting out of those straight bladed forks.
