Hey guys,
Picked this up early today. From what I can gather it's a 1990 model, bought new from Clarence St Cyclery here in Sydney.
The previous owner had bought it used and knew very little about it, other than it spent years living outside. The stem and bar are extremely corroded, and I reckon the spokes are beyond salvage. The Scott saddle (dated Jan '89) is pretty scruffy, but usable, and the slick tyres are coming off, to be replaced with a pair of NOS Ritchey Duro.
But the Deore XT drivetrain looks to be in good shape - the cranks especially. The rims and hubs aren't too bad either, so it should all come up nicely with a bit of elbow grease.
As for the paint ... I'll try to restore the green, but those pink decals were once orange. If I can source a new set I might get it resprayed. If not I'll probably leave it as it is.
