Stop me from building this up again!
1989 Dawes Ascent, 19 inch (ish), have had some right fun making this into odd things and will be a little sad to see it go unless it's to someone who wants to have fun with it. Dawes' bottom end atb from the late '80s.
Good bits: looks splendid(!), singlespeed ready, Reynolds 500 tubing, unlikely to get nicked, unlikely to upset you if it does get nicked, Radavist Approved and ready for Pirate Enduro (tm), builds up nicely into lots of different (weird) guises, comes with seatpost, fork was new in 2020.
Bad bits: rusty, lower headset cup can be pressed in by hand and is currently shimmed out with a few rounds of electrical tape, yellow on the fork doesn't quite match the yellow on the frame, fork dropouts are slightly wider than the 100mm it should be, cheap slide-in mech hanger required if you want to use a derailleur, no bottle bosses.
I've included some pictures of how it was built up to show the amazing versatility of this otherwise desireless late '80s chunk. Bin-rescue in 2019, used it quite a bit for commuting and odding about on, it's still useable but please understand that it's also heavily used.
FREE if collected from Keighley, but please don't bin it, build it into something fun.
