sooooooooo, had this a while. post was stuck, bb was uber stuck and although i planned it away again i just couldnt :| (sorry)

spent ages getting the post out, big hammers, heat oil etc and ended up hacksawing it and knocking it down.....which may be an issue later? sod it

then tried similar with the bb, went through 3 blades, a bottle of gas and a cheap ebay bb tool..............finally gave in.

got the mini breaker out the building tools cupbaord and hay presto, a few carefully positioned blows and it was free!!!! :D

then, looking at drop bar builds and not wanting to ruin the dyna techs going to work etc thought about doing a cx/retro/drop bar thingy. found some bars and 7 speed sti's at work(free) and salvaged bits from the spare boxs and here it is. only things i needed to buy were the grips and a rear brake cable  cheapest build yet for me

not mint, not bothered

this needs to be a t-shirt

sprog approves

test ride will be work commute monday, riding locally omorrow but taking the pace 8)

any way of making double sti shifters work on a triple??

Re:

Super cool 8)

Is that the original stem? Often you have to change it to get something upright to work with drop bars - does the position feel ok?

Blue/red left/right reminders?

Nice job. Have you tried braking on steep down bits yet?

nah, its a 1" ahead converter with shim and high rise 1 1/8 stem so plenty of adjustment to learn the trade and get it comfy
