My last 'traditional' bike I had before buying my first mtb was a Raleigh ladies bike in the Netherlands. It was a very solid bike with Sturmey Archer gears and drum brakes. Top quality and I sold it to my mum to enable me to buy my Dawes Tracker ATB. this was also a very British bike as I was a bit of a fan of all things British made including my taste for cars, namely Jaguars, lol.
I moved to England in 1990..
Sadly my Dawes got stolen within the first year of me being here. Very
I've only owned one Raleigh since, which was an M-Trax Ti2000 which was the last of the nice Raleigh bikes in my opinion.
I did like the Dynatech range of bikes too but never owned one.
I did almost buy a Raleigh Amazon, but I ended up with a 1992 GT Timberline instead.
The Timberline was a better bike than the Amazon, of course!
