42 Tooth Cassette and Deraileur help

I've used or rather just tried thos derailleur hanger often called goat link. It helps to operate nowadays big range cassettes with older derailleur designed for 3/2x X drivetrains. Just wasn't satisfied, as the top Pulley is with that pretty far away from the smaller cogs. So yes it does the...

Cyclone cranks - info and ….

Hi, a nice one 👍 Cyclone cranks have been produced by CPI in Taiwan and there are many different variations starting from 1995, most iconic are the ones with full cut-outs (but maybe also the most filigrane) Some other brands sold those CPI cranks too, some OEMs like Wheeler or Winora have...

    Hoeser with Laiti

I'm pretty sure the frame used for this bike was also for sale for a while at Kleinanzeigen / classified in Germany, not long time ago. I have no clue if it works and how well, but the concept using an torsion elastomere looks interesting. Hoeser was also building pretty nice frames, often...

Help with this Rock Shox please

I'm sure here in the forum there would be the best place to get ones. I'll also check storage in my bike cave, I have dismantled a few ones where mostly just one side was damaged, but don't want to promise anything upfront.

Help with this Rock Shox please

Two bushings on each side, one at the top (you can feel with fingers) the other one almost at the bottom, they are pressed or fix mounted into the casting, hard to see and to me almost impossible to be removed or replaced.

Help with this Rock Shox please

sorry, just have this one only from a german GT brochure, but this nice drawing could be pretty helpfull: Unterer Führungsring, at the bottom, means something like lower bushing. That means there are two bushings between stanchions and lowers / casting. Both have to slip, the lower one does...

Suggestions to stop brake cable ping (not zip ties)

Do you have kids, in particular a daughter? I've stolen a bit of things from her kit to build braclets... I've changed it later again, and won't do it at ah Hei Hei, but just to list other ideas here ;). A more serious advice would be to check brakes and cable routing in general if there is...

Help with this Rock Shox please

BTW, based on my experience with used Judy forks, yours seem to have a very typical issue. The lower part of the stanchion has too much wear, as from what I can see at this picture from you. Usually the surface of the stanchion at the bottom of the fork has been killed by missing lubrication...
