Headset thoughts ….. It’s fitted with the original Control centre headset which is nicer than a normal Impact one , but does feel a little low spec compared to the rest of the spec. Any thoughts on whether it’s a good choice ? Or if I should go maybe M901 or CK grip nut?

Out of around 10 bikes I’ve got 3 sets which are the lighter shade. All purchased recently (within the last 2 years) Swapped a few around and now I’m all correct. Can’t believe I’d not noticed until just building my Hei Hei today.

I’ve got quite a few pairs of Reissue Smoke/darts. All purchased over the year. Recently I’ve noticed that they are changing the colour to a more skin coloured tone rather than amber. I bought 3 sets recently (but separate purchases over a few weeks) and 1 pair is a much lighter skin colour...

It’s a 17 inch centre to top. If you would have said before I’d sourced all the build kit I would have definitely been up for it as 97 is my favourite year of retro bikes and I really struggle with 94 builds on what to spec. But now I’m too far gone to swap years as 97 would be M950...

It’s a very pretty bike I feel. Headset likely needs changing and obviously a saddle. I like it though

A little early for me mate. However I can totally appreciate these. Plus I’ve far too many projects currently. Maybe @RetroAesthetic is a buyer as it’s likely his size too

Yeh so normal SL or XC have a dummy leg but DH have the cartridge in both. Be aware that they could be blown as many are.
