Wanted large saddle bag (for use with a support rack, or with support included)

I’m after a large saddle bag - Carradice or similar. Preferably vintage (70/80s) but doesn't have to be.

I'm potentially open to buying one with the saddle support included, as well. Just interested in what people might have that could work. Thanks

That sounds excellent, thanks. Can I just check the length of the bag to be sure it’ll fit okay? Thanks.

Here you go: length around 30cm, width 14cm for the rigid base. Obviously the side pockets take it wider.

Thanks very much for that - unfortunately it is too long – I guess mine only really designed for either a much smaller top bag (more like 15cm long), or as a support for a larger saddle bag.

I think I'll change the thread title to see if anyone has a suitable larger saddle bag which might be suitable.

Another solution (albeit not retro) is to strap a 10litre dry bag to it transverse style. It will keep everything dry in bad weather

Yeah, I am wondering if just strapping a bag to it is the easiest solution. It's just for trips into town, not proper touring or anything.

If this not suitable for the op I would be pleased to purchase it .I have been looking for one for ages . Ideal for my day rides .
