Thick as Thieves

It's a piece of static artwork. Scrap this along with all the museum exhibits and save public monies then ?

In short, not to necessarily scrap, but be more careful in these times where / when the public money goes.

I'm like the next the man, I love looking at art, cultural pride, unique items, being educated from an engineering and an aesthetic sense. I certainly don't agree with smashing things to make a so called "political point" to increase insurance premiums and my own tax bill. Don't agree either with overly pomp and circumstance. Just feel the limited money can be wisely spent more humbly and satisfactorily today, and should have been since some time ago.

It's no dig to underline.

Kind of fed-up that a lot is geared to instant entertainment gratification, more practically instant waste of a disposable item already known at the moment of conception, and little thought about actual usefulness and longevity to serve. It's a rant from my behalf.

If I can permit myself to get back onto bikes, surely we both recognise that a simple bike with very little cost is no burden to a state?

Hard for a thief to conceptualise how stealing one would improve his lot for the day🤣

I have used a couple, it's a lot of fun if you don't mind looking like an idiot and avoiding hills.😃

The answer is simple.

Have at least one bike for leaving locked up, one that you won't mind losing, make it look like shit.

Here's my smooth riding comfy and nippy town bike. It's a 92 Rocky Mountain Hammer, all new bearings, a sweet ride.

I enjoy leaving it locked up, I get a kick out of the snarky sideways glances it gets from bike snobs.
The 'rust' is all paint.
This bike is awesome! I’m inspired to do something half as good.

OR one of these. A Sinclair A frame folder. An old work for some reason decided to buy one had one and funnily enough he barely rode it because it was absolutely horrific to ride. No fast get-aways for a thief on one of these and if they do make it around the corner, it will be abondoned soon after that!
