Thick as Thieves

The bike thieves in my part of South London come on only two varieties

1. The midnight caller. They scope out a bike during the day, and if it's still there when the sun goes down are back with the tools and the angle grinder

2. The time served (mostly in young offenders institution) tooled up mugger. They'll mostly be in alleys or tight corners in pairs, and either try and pull you off the bike, or make a road block. They will have big shiny knives. They are mostly after ebikes, but my mate lost a 3 grand Hetchins to one. They don't wear balaclavas: because they don't give a f#ck. Nowt you can do really but hand it over.

Okay I'll wait.
Fentanyl use is nearing epidemic in Central London, since Afghanistan packed up most of its poppy production (thanks to the Taliban), heroin has been hard to come by, so Fentanyl coming in via China/Turkey/Amsterdam is the fuel of choice. It's replaced heroin about 90/10 in terms of police work. I used to work in Border Force Services, it's just about impossible to stop it coming into the UK, everyone is at it because it's so lucrative.

You might not have to wait that long. Coming to a town near you soon.

I know a lad who was accosted by two hooded urban yoofs on an e-scooter, the passenger threatened him with a knife and took his bike.
Bye bye £3k
I used to see this at least twice a week. Its one of the fastest growing crimes in Britain.
