I get to speak to people every day about stolen bikes - the most obvious thing is that thieves usually target bikes with a sh1t lock.
Unfortunately is you lock a nice bike in the same place daily, eventually a "proper" thief will bring the proper tools.
2 locks makes their job twice as hard.
Tracking devices are cheap
- I've had a few customers who have "popped round" to their bike's new location with some friends, and swiftly "negotiated" its return.
In several cases, where HM constabulary were unwilling to engage

I left my Diamondback BMX in my friends garden as a kid for an hour with no locks on at all, when I came out I no longer owned a bike. Never not locked one up now, even when I visit my friends cafe and sit outside near it I lock it up.
I had 5 of these and no other type of lock chaining 2 motorcycles together and to a ground anchor. When I got up one morning all 5 locks were present on the ground and locked again but there were no motorcycles. I did get one of the bikes back and compensated for the other one, best to not go into details on here but I dragged one of the thieves back to my place to show me how he had done it. Those locks were £70 each too, so yeah I wont use them again either but maybe they now have a fix. There were 3 thieves all ended up very very sore and out of pocket, all druggies, 2 are dead now just waiting for the last one to pop off.

The "fruit machine" key is a poor design because all the pins are exposed and visible.
The benefit is its rotary shape, so can be extremely compact within a tube, making a lock slimmer and lighter - but it's a flawed, cheap solution, so was quite quickly only found on cheap locks.
