In principle, I agree with you. I would also somehow get a 3x drive train together, but a Gatorblade? Not a chance. Looks like they've all disappeared or been installed.

Ahh yes, I saw this one.
Apart from the indecent price, the head tube doesn't fit. I need 1 1/8 inch and 420mm height

After one or two brake disasters I have now fitted black LX and they are a dream! You were right @grantoury.
The Swiss Stop pads have already impressed me in the Alps and they deliver again here.

Changed the saddle and handlebars aswell and I'm slowly getting to where I want.

Next on the list is the fork. The steerer fits, now all that's missing is the paint.

Great looking bike. I would try a shorter fork and feel the change in geometry.
