The unofficial Bigfoot/Ozone/Smokestone thread

Bike is pretty much there now after a visit to Graham's shop to get the brake lines sorted. I'm still on the hunt for some bigger tyres and the seat clamp is a mix of blue and red X-Lite when I'd ideally like it all red, but X-Lite seat clamps don't come up very often. Very happy though.

Can I just put it out there for any future sellers of a Smokestone/e-stay that I would dearly love to give one a home if the opportunity ever arises.

It looks a total beast! How does it ride?
It rides beautifully, just like I remember from the late 90's. It's quite a short wheelbase so the rear tyre is tucked up under you, it climbs wonderfully. Not a single squeak from anywhere (at the moment). Given the rear wheel is tucked in slightly it does mean the tyre wants to clip the front derailleur, luckily the 2.25" tyres just miss it, any wider and I'd be in trouble.

Some of you may remember the disaster I made trying to build the disk only Ozone Co2?
It was a long time ago & now a distant memory so when the Bigfoot recently turned up for sale here I thought I'd have a go & put the bad feeling from the Co2 behind me.
go down there had a quick look over it however, it not only had a seized cracked seatpost, it also had a cracked frame 😔.
Since getting it home I've also found a crack in the ITM titanium stem.
Cracking value all round

Ah man, that sucks it's broken. Looks like an early one as well. You've got some nice X-Lite bits on there, including a backwards seat post 😄. Got yourself a lovely bit of wall art at least (trying to find the positives 😉)
