How do you pronounce Tange?

I’ve been watching Paul brodies excellent gravel build on YouTube and he pronounces it “tan-gay”. Have I been saying it wrong all these years???

Tan-gay is close but the Japanese pronunciation is flat, more like Tan-Geh.

Great thread! I personally say Tange as in flange (which in itself is a great phrase!) but have friends who say tan-gay... but then I am Welsh and cannot even pronounce tooth properly!!!

A great word and used a lot in my line of work (packaging design)

But also a word that always makes my wife laugh... and me at that matter despite doing what I've been doing for +23 years!
