Sold 1982 Gios Aerodynamic size62, Columbus air tubing, 1 of only 200 ever produced, original paint and components

This is a very rare and extremely collectible bike, especially in this condition.
The frame still has that unmistakable Gios blue lustre. All the bearings are factory smooth, the chainrings etc.. show very little if any wear.
It is completely original apart from new cables and leather bar sleeve which is like for like.

Headset: Campagnolo super record
Chainset/pedals/bottom bracket: Shimano dura-ace ax aero.
Shifters: Shimano dura ace ax aero
Rear derailleur: Shimano ex
Chain: Shimano dura-ace ug 7100(very rare)
Cassette: Shimano dura-ace ax gold (very rare)
Front derailleur: Campagnolo record
Hubs: Shimano dura-ace ax( with original decals and skewers)
Rims : Mavic SSC special service courses.
Seat post: Shimano dura-ace ax aero
Saddle: Turbo
Brakes: Modolo professional with original hoods and drilled levers(still has all the rubber grommets and inserts) very rare and beautiful detailing
Stem: Sakae Ringyo new royal extra super light with titanium hardware and original decal (rare)
Bars: 3t special production with a tear drop shaped bar top and slight criterium shape, beautiful and unique
Real leather hand stitched bar sleeve.
As a whole the bike is quite unique and extremely collectible. I’ve never seen an Aerodynamic with this selection of components in such original condition.

It's interesting that Gios didn't use the full set of Columbus Air tubing for the build only the fork tubes and seat stays which have a flattened profile. With an extra round tube inserted into the down tube for extra stiffness it was a heavy tubeset, maybe Gios wanted a lighter bike. It's a stunning looking machine in super condition GLWS 👍

It’s in quite unbelievable condition for its age, it’s been kept in the spare room all it’s life. Some of the parts on it not only look like new, you just never see them come up for sale. She’s an absolute beauty!!
