Interesting, just found this on a web site called velobase.com about Wrights:

Started out as a competitor of Brooks and other leather saddles, this English brand was eventually bought out by Brooks - Sturmey Archer - Raleigh group where it become a second line of saddles below the flagship Brooks name.

The leather on mine is very hard also. It had been stored in a garage for god knows how many years. Any ideas on how to soften it up a bit? I think it needs something a bit more aggressive than the car care products I have tried.

1. soak it in motor oil
2. set fire to it
3. ride 100,000 miles on it
4. join a gym and work your buttocks until you can crack walnuts in them :roll:

then you will be ready!
