strange fork, anyone seen this before?

Anyhow, hasn't your fork been stripped? If so, there was possibly (probably) some flaked-off paint around the incongruent extra bend.

Dave's post on the last page looks on the money to me.

The thought had crossed my find that such a bend from a full frontal would more than
likely flake and/or crease the paint which there doesn't appear to be in the first pictures.

Of course.....if it was shunted what kind of forking clown would then re-spray it.... :LOL:

Theoldfm, it looks like you were right:
the fork was indeed bend after the bike hit something solid, a car in this case, and was then resprayed.
