Specialized M2 1993 (?)

I just found this beautiful frameset, it looks like a 1993 Specy M2, but the serial number looks weird to me. Can someone help me to identify it?

Hi, I think the first two numbers usually denote the date (?) so it could be a '90. There's a recent thread posted by Neko about M2s..
