Its one of my favourite films.
'THX' refers to a surround sound standard, not a specific type or mode. Speakers and equipment bearing the THX logo have passed testing to be THX certified.

Johnny Weissmuller jr is one of those fantastic Police androids - 'Careful! Its heavy!'
The bikes and the cars looked great given the limited budget. I dont like the updated car scenes in the redux version though, far too cartoon like.
Parallels can be drawn with today with the need to ''buy more, buy more now...'', muzak, constant CCTV observation and so on.
Cult classic.
...and I'll add that THX1138 was always rumoured to be one of Lucas' car registrations.
The 'prison' is just perfect, infinite yet enclosed
