Rivet On Cable Stops

Re:

I'm after 3 in total.
Two for brake cables and one for a friend who's internal cable routing for his front mech has gone awol on a carbon frame so needs a cable stop near the BB on the seat tube.

Will £10 cover everything?

Cheers Jon

Re:

Hi I was wondering what the measurement between the centres of the two holes is on the cable stops you have. My frame has then 12mm apart.
Thanks

Hi Peter,

The holes are 3.5mm diameter, spaced at 17.8mm centres. I use 3mm rivets, or M3 self-tapping screws to fit them.
So they won't drop straight in, but if you re-use one of your holes and drill a fresh one at 17.8mm, there should be a good 1.5mm of web between the new hole and the redundant one.

Also, I recommend sealing the underside of the stop with an epoxy, mostly to stop water getting in underneath, but it also helps to spread the loads from the rivets when braking.

All the best,

Hi Dan,

By any chance do you still have any of these stops ?

I know its a long shot, but I need to replace the ones on my Guerciotti that broke today  :(
