Rescuing a Raleigh

I am pretty certain your frame is a 531c Raleigh Road Ace that has been painted yellow later on. It looks identical to my one from 1987. Can you make out Shimano 600 on the crank? Here's some other links that might help...

I think originalshinkicker is on the right track with one of the Raleigh off the peg 653 frames (with no chainstay bridge).

Have you weighed the frame and the fork?

Still have to get the seatpin and stem out,only about two inches of pin inside so should be easy.Would like to save the stem though so that could take time.
