Wouldn't burning an alu frame like that mess with the strength of the frame? Heat treatment and that?

I was trying to add heat to move things along, not considering that the paint stripper was flammable.. luckily it wasn’t on fire for long, seconds really, as i had a hosepipe to hand. Didn’t get too hot luckily.
Don’t think I’d use fire to removed paint on any frame, media blasting is probably the way to go.
I’m definitely not doing it by hand again anytime soon, it took flipping ages..

as for heat treating, unless you plan on putting the frame in the oven, or using an external heat source (forge) you aren't going to alter the material properties. burning of paint stripper is a few minutes and the beyond surface temperature increase the metal isn't going to get hot in the time.
media blasting is the easiest way, but who has that kit at home? (me, I do, nar nar )

I changed the seatpost to an USE anodized blue, which go nicely with the skeleton and alu-parts of the raven.
