Can anyone help? I’ve got this really nice perforated leather saddle and I’d like to lose the Giant lettering on either side.
I’ve tried gently rubbing it with wire wool and autosol but it’s not coming off. Any other things to try? Don’t want to damage the leather.. thinners? Or paint over it?
🤔

depends on the way it was applied but I'd consider acetone (nail polish remover) as a sensible place to start, IPA is unlikely to touch it as I'd expect it to be screen printed.
then work your way though different solvents. when none of them work, try heat and mechanical removal.

If all else fails, fire will do it, but you'll be left with just the rails, so not much help really. :)

Frustration and stupidity in equal measure I’m afraid. 🤣
Turned out ok in the end though..

You know I was just sitting thinking about paint removal of a frame I've got laying about. It is too cold for paint removers and I am never sanding a frame again, so was considering burning the sucker.

Wouldn't burning an alu frame like that mess with the strength of the frame? Heat treatment and that?

Looks great.
