Presta vs Schrader

Erm - both really  Depends what I have lying around. Although I do stick to Prestas on the nice roady Bianchi  plus they inflate better off my mini-cylinder emergency widget.

Anyone have any spare YELLOW presta valve caps? Please? Contis used to come with them, but haven't been able to get any for a while.

Anything, so long as it isn't woods.
For some reason, the kinds of rims I'm interested in don't come with Schrader valves though. Not sure why.

If you must go car valve just dig out the 8mm drill bit buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

don't quote me on it being 8mm
thats just what I remember
and not gospel
check before you drill!

Aye
Plus presta rims have a much smaller diameter, meaning a smaller hole has to be drilled through the rim.

neither, i fill my tyres with grass and newspaper. although I'll probably switch to my current wage slips soon as they are deffinately lighter than they used to be

I know that feeling

I use presta but I keep snapping off the little middly bit...

Schraeder for my Elite, cos that's what it came out of the shop with, in '93.

Presta for my Pace, cos, well, Presta is, umm, better.

Dave.
