Paramount tourer

The Frame started out as a no name frame off ebay I rode it for a while before stripping the parts for another build and had the frame sent off to have rack and mud guards eyes put on then repainted. I chose the Paramount name as it was the first ever road bike I had. I have always wanted a arabesque group set and have acquired parts from the forum friends and ebay.


I got the frame back on friday and have had a little time to do a mock build up this afternoon

Thanks Jamie I get my paint work done through Perry Cycles in Woolwich they had this one for a while as I was busy moving from south to north and have actually painted this frame twice for me now :facepalm:

Finally got round to finishing this off with L'eroica coming up and the weather not looking so good I though mudguards maybe a good idea I've taken the rack off swapped the bottle cage for an older elite found some generic hoods from ebay and wrapped it up in cloth tape (which I'm not that good at doing )

I've just got back been out for 3hrs and rode really well no surprises as I'd ridden it before a few adjustment to seat post and toeclips and need to adjust a rubbing front mud guard but it was good as gold, getting used to down tube shifters was fun kept going for shifters on the lever
headed out to Hawes water the road by the side of the lake is a dead end road but worth it.

Haven't used Toeclips and straps for almost 32 years it was like yesterday new shoes first ride out too very comfy

Having just returned from my week in Scotland, I feel for you I really do. I mean, having to put up with all those hills and lakes, what an absolute chore.

Still, at least the bike is going well.

I have friction shifters on my red Lloyd, by the time I am just getting used to them, summer is over and it's time to put it away again. I think they encourage a more relaxed way of riding.
