Orange c16r head tube diameter.

Hello all,

Im thinking of finding an Orange c16r and building it up to make a bike packing machine.

Did Orange ever produce the c16r with an 1" 1/8 diameter head tube or were they an inch?

Pretty sure they were all 1" mate before going 1 1/8th when they switched back to the Clockwork name?

I did have a 1999 re-issue years ago, but hated it compared to my mates c16r. The re-issue frame felt dead by comparison.

Orange Clockwork/C16R/P7 Steerer Diameters?

Does anyone know when Orange shifted from 1" steerers and headsets to 1-1/8"? 97? 98? Looking for a 21" frame that I can fit a 1-1/8" fork to, and I wanted to make sure I'm keeping an eye out for the correct model years. Thanks! P.S. If you have one, I'd be very interested.

Ignore the above, did a little more digging and the c16 tag ended in 97.
