Need help with BSA Gumtree find

Anyone any idea what year/model this BSA is. My recent new bike was stolen so I found this for the grand sum of £30 to commute 5 miles to work so if it gets stolen again it wont matter. I'll spend a bit on the required tlc and hopefully only needs a hub service a good clean.

At a first guess this would be 28 1 1/2 wheels. Are these easy to find? Looking to spend minimum but enough to keep it going as long as I can

As it takes less than a minute to adjust the hub gear I would assume it has some problem which would cost far more than the value of the bike. The wheel size would be something near 26 inch, depending on age.

Thanks for the info, Ill keep looking and pay a bit more for something in full working order
