I started off teaching history and have my degree in it. My passion.

I'm now a head of English for my sins.

I usually tell people I'm a mortician. Much more socially acceptable.

I did dig my target and got a very nice piece of rusty aluminium... the sort of stuff they use on edges when plastering!

If it's rusty it's not aluminium.

Saw Andy and Lance finding lots of ring-pulls made of aluminium with their state of the art detectors. :mrgreen:

the corner mesh stuff is usually galvanised steel. there is no need to make wall corners lighter.
 
Beading as it is known I think!?!?, yeah mostly made of crap then galvanised for longer life.
My old place of work had a magnet for aluminium, but would only attract alloy to it with a current run to it. You probably won't ever find alloy that has rusted like steel does but it will oxidize as we all know.
