House training a puppy.....

Thank you all for your comments and suggestions.

Yesterday was the first chance we have had to walk her (vaccinations etc) so we are hoping that this will help with the routine thing.

She has started using the same bit of the garden to poo in so its getting easier to find them when we miss them!

In the house She is very good with number 1's - they mainly end up on her pee mat but number 2's..........

Glad she is the size she is

Put dog rocks in the water to stop the pee staining on the lawn... never tried it myself, but an old collegue used to recommend it

Size helps. House training an elephant is a nightmare :roll:

Theres a dog training class in Thetford on a monday evening if thats any use.

Dog crate over night, they wont spoil their own bed! I have used puppy pads in the kitchen before but would not recommend them as I think this sends out the message that its ok to do the business inside! As already said plenty of encouragement when outside and plenty of praise when they do what you want. Remember if you dont praise/correct your dog within 2 or 3 seconds of them doing the act then they dont know why you are praising/correcting them.
