Got it dirt cheap and I like the look. Seller didn’t know anything about it. Anyone know what year etc? E83F5E92-BB38-4545-B8D6-BD5F97B3A805.jpeg 7B540F2A-948B-452E-A5B4-1D86D8A05D05.jpeg 21D83C2E-2F5E-40F4-8414-2CB2EB1BAD7A.jpeg 56915900-8BE6-4CD1-A382-914C801C4AAE.jpeg

your pictures showed already everything, also the date of production (both stamps at the inside of the arch)
SR Suntour MG DH Fork, produced End of 98 for 1999 saison.

The picture below is from the Buyers guide Bike Workshop 1999 from German Bike magazine.
Suntour MG DH fork aus BW1999.jpg

Quite top end of the Suntour supsension fork portfolio, cheap still for a dual crown DH fork. 699 German Mark are 350€.
Using just coil and elastomere for 110mm of travel.
2000g is still lightweight for such a fork, looks like the magnesium casting is contributing to this.

The DH stem from Amoeba looks pretty cool. Just those things are often extremely heavy, what about yours?

Thank you! That was more and better info than I got from Suntour.

They sent me this:
“please see attached exploded views of what I think could be your fork. As you can see they are similar but not the same, you can’t really tell the difference between them from the outside. As far as I’m aware, there never was a DC98 or MG98 for that matter.

There are no specific user manuals for your fork and we don’t have the catalogues anymore, the fork is just way too old.

I hope the exploded views help.”

For future use of this thread as a reference, I’ll add the exploded views I got from Suntour
