Getting old? Have you ever thought about it????

Me again,

I was thinking about music and heroes - perhaps it is not fair to say singers etc are heroes but they would be people who I would identify with. As previously mentioned, a lot of my musical 'heroes' are dead - Joe Strummer, Sid Vicious, Lou Reed, Ian Curtis, John Bonham, Bon Scott, Keith Moon, Kurt Cobain to name a few. (in no particular order)

While pondering, I thought of one of my early favourite songs and an artist who is actually alive! Here is the original video -

And this is 50+ years later -

Incredible that he is still singing and doing it so well. So at least one of my heroes is still kicking about.

To continue the discussion -

Does exposure to death affect your attitude to life?

I am getting morbid again!

Richard

P.S. If this is too morbid, have a look at this to brighten you up -

I spent the day with one of my wife's best friends. She is 35 and desperate to 'do something' with her life.

How about introducing her to me? I'm 43, single and looking, never been married, would like to start a family, got a decent career. Living abroad might broaden her horizons a bit, fresh start?
I'll be in UK on vacation in two weeks time..

This thread is making me feel old, listening to all you youngsters :)

 Just realised, I am old....................hit the big 60 recently.

What's all this 46 being old?

I don't feel any different fom when I was 46.

Or maybe I do... I've lost more hair, put on a stone and a bit, winge about Twitter, tweets, facebook, smartphones.

People walking around the streets posing with paper coffee cups annoys me.

I call kids children and hate Hi on emails.

My better half also remarks of my similarity to Victor Meldrew.

Never mind, still ride MTB's and road bikes. :D

See what you've got coming to you :D
