And how did it end up in Scotland ? Presumably from the "Off Ramp Bikes" sticker it was bought and/or serviced there in San Francisco at some point in time ?

Here's a Meridian i found on Retrobike, guy thinks his is an '87 model.

Largely similar, but mine doesn't have the internal cam seat binder arrangement.
I think the one I have is a couple of years later than '87 at least.
